The Post About Mostly Nothing

Posted in Randomness, The Amazing G at 9:49 PM by TKWatson

My world has been a little crazy as of late.  Hence the lack of post-age this past week.  I hope this upcoming week will shape up better, but the way things are going thus far, I can’t say I’d bet money on it.

The crazy has ‘drained’ me.  I feel like I want to write something… but… my brain is just so tired of thinking that I’m really just not sure what to write.  There are lots of things going on in my head, but none of which I want to write about.  Today, I want to write to escape my own brain, not write to talk about my brain.  (P.S. pictures of brains SERIOUSLY freak me out.  I don’t know why that’s relevant.  I’m just saying…)

When all else fails… I open a bottle of wine.  Currently, I’m sipping on a glass of Merlot, listening to jazz, and I’m about to make a frozen  pizza.  Merlot, jazz… and frozen pizza.  Classy.  What can I say… my parents have been known to drink wine from a box out of a red plastic cup. As they say… the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.  Ah well… I embrace who I am… two parts sophisticated urbanite, one part redneck.  I make no apologies.

Seriously though… wine and jazz music… a perfect combination for calming me down, helping me to clear my head, relax, and just enjoy a nice evening at home.  It’s sorta unfortunate that G doesn’t like wine… he won’t be able to share this passion of mine… but… hey… more wine for me.  (I kid… I promise I’m not as much of a wino or drunkered as I sometimes make myself out to be.  Exaggeration… it’s one my talents.)  I will say though… I have thoroughly enjoyed the few times that G has suffered through a glass of wine or champagne, just because he knew it would make me happy.  On our engagement trip… G ordered my favorite type of wine (Cabernet Sauvignon) and attempted to choke a glass of it down.  This was after he spent half an hour trying to track down a cork screw, only to discover that we, in fact, had been given a corkscrew with the bottle.  It was fairly comical, but I appreciated every single moment of it.

Anywho… that glass (or two) of wine, jazz, and pizza has put me into a serene state of sleepyness.  So… off to bed I go.  Tomorrow, I promise a post about things I pink fluffy heart.  Until then, thanks for reading my post about mostly nothing; my brain should be functioning again by tomorrow.

I was totally bummed when I first saw a real human brain. After learning about all the awesome stuff it’s capable of, I thought it would look a hell of a lot cooler.

Also, FYI, you cannot call nuking a frozen piece of cardboard “making pizza.” Sheesh woman. Come over and I will feed you.

Seriously… brains should be, like, metallic and smooth and colorful, or something.

And… ya… fine… it’s not exactly cooking, per se. But at least I’m eating something, right?
