Pink Fluffy Heart Monday

Posted in Pink Flully Heart Day at 12:03 AM by TKWatson

Oky Doky, folks.  Well… I promised a ‘Pink Fluffly Heart Monday’ post, since I’m going on three weeks without one.  So… seeing as how it’s 11:00 pm and I’m just now beginning it… let’s make this fairly short and sweet, shall we?

And Go…

Dark Chocolate.  OhMyGoodnessGracious.  I freakin’ LOVE me some dark chocolate.  I can’t help myself.  I’m generally a choc-o-holic all around… but dark chocolate… that is my weakness.  In a fight between me and dark chocolate, dark chocolate usually wins.  (How many times can I say “dark chocolate” in this post?  That’s six so far…)  I try not to keep too much junk food in the house, especially chocolate, especially dark chocolate (seven) so that I don’t have the option of devouring it during a hormone-rage induced sweet craving.  (Hey… don’t judge me, dear reader… you know it happens to the best of us… the female lot among us anyway…)  I like pretty much all dark chocolates (eight), but my favorite it probably Hershey’s Special Dark.  It is far and away my favorite guilty pleasure.  And what’s awesome is that Walgreens typically sells huge bars of it 2 for $5.  (And by awesome, I of course mean “not so awesome because it makes it so much more tempting to buy.”  Whatev.)   So… in conclusion… I REALLY pink fluffy heart dark chocolate (nine).

Dark Chocolate. (ten)

I grew up in a family of mechanics.  A family of FORD LOVING mechanics.  I don’t know half of what there is to know about cars, but I probably know more than the average girl.  I am certainly a bigger car enthusiastic than the average girl.  I love pretty much all classic sports cars – Cameros, GTOs, Chevelles, etc. etc. but my heart truly belongs to only one – Ford Mustangs.  The Mustang pictured above, happens to be a Shelby Mustang, which is, like, the most amazing type of Mustang, ever.  EverEver.  Someday, when I’m rich (*snicker*) my dream come true would be to buy a 1964 1/2 Mustang and restore it.  *Sigh*  Someday.  Someday you will be mine, pretty Mustang… I pink fluffy heart you.

I admit it.  I’m a total sheet snob.  I didn’t use to be, until my parents ruined me by buying me my first set of high thread count sheets for Christmas several years ago.  There was no turning back after that.  My bed is one of my favorite places in the world.  I work on my bed.  I watch movies on my bed.  I write blog posts on my bed.  I pretty much live on my bed when I’m at home.  So… I feel fairly justified in wanting my bed to be extra comfy.  I recently purchased a new pair of 500 thread count sheets at Ross for, like, $30.  It made my day.  And the sheets totally rock.  (Pink fluffy heart Ross too, btw.)  Having a great set of sheets on my bed is like crawling into my own little fluffy cloud at the end of the day.  The very best is when the sheets are freshly washed and crisp.  [insert sound of happy here].  Ironically enough… tonight there are no sheets on my bed.  Because I had to wash them and by the time they were done, I was too tired to put them back on.  Blankets as a make-shift bed for me tonight.  Darn.  I’m looking forward to tomorrow though… because I will have fresh high thread count sheets to drift away to sleep in.  There is nothing I pink fluffy heart more than that.

Happy Monday!

Things I Pink Fluffy Heart Monday

Posted in Pink Flully Heart Day at 12:53 PM by TKWatson

It’s that time again!  Time for me to tell you about all the things I love because it’s Monday and I like to not have to think too hard on Mondays Mondays are a great day for cheery goodness!

Without further ado… three things I pink fluffy heart.

1. (Source: unf.edu)

Horses.  I totally pink fluffy heart horses.  I LOVE horseback riding.  I wanted to be a barrel racer when I was younger.  Too bad I’m allergic to them (Horses, not barrel racers…).  And lessons are hella expensive.  And my parents refused to buy me a pony.  Damn.  Anywho…  I can hold my own on a horse assuming it doesn’t do anything too crazy, but I very rarely get to ride.  G and I did a trial ride when he was in AZ a few months back.  It was ok, but we pretty much just had to walk along for two hours; it got really boring, really fast.  (And like an idiot I didn’t wear sunscreen so I looked like a boiling lobster at the end of the day.)  The guidebook I have been reading for Kauai (where G and I will be spending our honeymoon) says that there is a trail ride place there that pretty much lets you do your own thing on the rides.  Maybe we can try that.  (Are you taking notes G? Love you!)  I’d love to someday own horses, but then again, that would require actually taking care of them… which is a big mess.  Maybe I’ll just stick to pink fluffy heart loving someone else’s horses.

Office Supplies.  Ok… I know this one is totally weird and random.  But I SERIOUSLY pink fluffy heart office supplies.  I have no idea why.  In school, my favorite part of the year was at the very beginning when I got to go stock up on a bunch of cool pens, paper, notebooks, etc.  As I’m not in school anymore, I don’t have much use for going office supply shopping, but I am still totally OCD about my office supplies at work.  I always have a ton of office supplies at my desk.  And non of those yucky cheap pens for me! No Sir!  I like nice pens, that write smoothly, and don’t leak all over the place.  Alas, sometimes such pens are hard to come by.  My favorite office supply of all time is colored gel pens, but it is SO hard to find good ones.  They’re always crappy, and barely write half the time.  Anyone know of some good ones I can buy?  The funny thing is that office supplies and technology really hate me.  You’d be AMAZED at the number of staplers I’ve managed to break in my day.  (It’s really quite impressive…)  But… still… despite the love/hate relationship, I pink fluffy heart office supplies.

Massages.  I’ve only had massages a couple times in my life.  (Unfortunately.)  The last one was while G and I were on our engagement trip in Florida.  G surprised me with an AMAZING massage.  I’m not exactly sure what it was called, but it involved hot and cold stones.  I’m sure the masseuse was an angel.  (She was wearing white… coincidence?  I think not…)  I could possibly have just died a happy woman right then and there on that table by slipping off into peace filled, massage induced coma.  (I chose not to however, so that I could get up and go back to the hotel where G was waiting for me.  With more surprises; a post for another day…)  Anywho… It was so super awesome and it totally solidified my pink fluffy heart loving of massages for all time.

Well, that’s all for now folks.  Thanks for checking in for this edition of “Things I Pink Fluffy Heart”.  Happy Monday!!!!

Things I Pink Fluffy Heart Monday

Posted in Emo Day, Pink Flully Heart Day at 12:02 PM by TKWatson

It’s Monday again.  Unfortunately.  I have the Monday blues.  Again.  I find that every Monday gets harder and harder.  My job at the BSBH (“blood sucking black hole”) is weighing on my pretty heavy these days.  I can’t wait to get away from it.  I only wish I knew when that might be happening…

Anywho… in an effort to brighten Monday and remind myself of the good things in life, here are three things that I pink fluffy heart.

1.

PUPPIES!  The puppy above happens to be my very own when she was about two months old.  (She’s about a year and a half now.)  She’s definitely the cutest puppy EVER.  Well… actually… my sister’s puppy is also MAJORLY adorable.  We’ll call it a tie.  Anywho… I was never really much of a dog person, what with being deathly allergic to them and all, until I discovered that poodle mixes are hypoallergenic.  So I got me a maltipoo and my life has never been the same.  Sure, puppies are bad sometimes, but when your fiance lives half a world away, a warm puppy to sleep next to is the next best thing.  I really do believe there is something to all the hype about pets being good for the soul.  When I’m feeling a little blue, a hug from my puppy is really comforting.  I seriously pink fluffy heart cute little puppies, and especially mine.

2. (Source: gslproductions.co.uk)

Weddings.  Maybe it’s because I’m in the midst of planning my own wedding, but I LOVE weddings.  I could look at wedding photos for hours.  If I wanted to deal with bridezillas and work every weekend of my life, I’d totally be a wedding planner.  (Unfortunately, I don’t have much patience for bridezillas or working weekends.  Meh.)  I love the idea of weddings; two people dedicating their lives to one another and sharing such a special moment with friends and family.  I also majorly pink fluffy heart all things wedding decor.  All-in-all weddings just totally make me happy.  (Of course… my wedding will be the BEST EVER.  And make me WAY happier than any other wedding…)

3. (Source: Durham University ISA)

Ballroom dancing.  Ok… so I don’t look nearly that amazing when I dance, but… I’m not half bad.  I could still afford a lot of training with regards to my technique, but mostly I just have fun with dancing.  One thing I have wished and hoped and prayed for since learning to dance was a significant other who could and/or would dance with me.  Honestly though, I never in a million years imagined I’d actually find such a man given that non-gay, non-creepy male dancers are few and far between.  But… low and behold, God blessed me with a man that not only can dance, and loves to dance as much as I do, but is also half Latin and therefore has gorgeously sexy Latin moves to twirl me around on the dance floor with.  (Many thanks to my mother-in-law-to-be for passing on her Puerto Ricano genes to her amazing son.)  I absolutely pink fluffy heart getting all dressed up and “gettin-jiggy-wit-it” with G on the dance floor.  Dancing is hands down my favorite past-time of all time, especially when it is with my beloved.  (I also pink fluffy heart jazz dancing as a solo activity, but I haven’t done much of that since High School.)

So there you have it.  Three more things that I pink fluffy heart.  (I guess you didn’t necessarily need the pen and paper to make a “TK’s wishlist” this time, since none of these things are really something that can be purchased.  Still… it’s always good to take notes…)

Happy Monday!

Things I Pink Fluffy Heart

Posted in Fashion, Pink Flully Heart Day, Wish List at 11:37 PM by TKWatson

In an effort to brighten up the dreary day that is Monday, I hereby declare Monday the “Things I Pink Fluffy Heart” Day.  A day to post about all the things I love.  (People not included… because… obvs… I love my peeps the most.)

So, here we begin.

The top three things I Pink Fluffy Heart the Most.  (Or… at the least the first three that come to my brain at the moment.)

1. (Image Source: Skype.com)

At this very moment, G and I are having a lovely conversation listening to each other breathe while he plays video games and I type, thanks to the amazing invention that is Skype.  (If only Skype didn’t drop calls because G’s internet service sucks at life.  That’s what you get when you live in an igloo.  Or something.)  Skype allows me to keep in touch with my far, far-away fiance in a way that wouldn’t have been possible a few years ago.  It’s not quite the same as snuggling up to my honey, but it’s about as close as I can get when my honey is half a world (or so) away.

2.  (Image Source: bestuff.com)

Starbucks Iced Mocha.  Except, minus the whip.  (Apparently the entire interwebs are against me on that since there wasn’t a single picture of a Starbucks Iced Mocha without this unnecessary accessory.)  An iced mocha (or cafe mocha in the winter) is my drug of choice for those mornings when I need a little pick-me-up.  Or a huge helping hand.  Damn Starbucks and the gouging of my pocketbook with every sip of caffeinated goodness.  (On another note: Does anyone even know what a pocketbook is anymore?)  Despite the exorbitant prices (I blame my acceptance of the prices on my love of econ and it’s basic principle of supply and demand…), I still pink fluffy heart Starbucks iced mochas.

3. (Image Source: JessicaSimpsonCollection.com)

I absolutely, positively, pink fluffy, wildly beating, heart all things Jessica Simpson. I am spell bindingly in love with her shoes.  Let’s face it, I am a  shoe-o-holic to the nth degree.  I LOOVVEE shoes.  But Jessica Simpson shoes currently hold the top shoe shelf of my heart.  Luckily, I’m not completely financially irresponsible, so I don’t buy every pair I see that I fall in love with. (I just dream sweetly of them in my slumber…)  I love these, especially in the Navy Fropicana;  I love these in the red patent.  Though I’m not big on flats, (short people need a little extra, yo…) I adore these.  I’d keep going, but what’s the point… by the time I finished, I might as well just put a link to the “view all” shoe page.

So… those are my top three.  Stay tuned for the next addition of Things I Pink Fluffy Heart.  (Oh… and… you may want to have a pen and pencil handy… ya know… in case you see something that you just have to buy.  For me.  Just Sayin’.)

Happy Monday!
